Researchers from the Loda Lab made a significant impact at the 2025 Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), held in Chicago (US), in April 25-30. The team not only presented cutting-edge research, but also engaged in valuable networking with fellow scientists.
In particular, Dr. Silvia Rodrigues, a postdoctoral associate in the lab, presented the poster titled "Disrupting lipid elongation impairs prostate cancer progression in c-MYC driven mouse models". Dr. Filippo Pederzoli, a postdoctoral associate in the lab, presented the poster titled "In situ hybridization-based validation of transcriptionally-defined stromal clusters in the prostate cancer microenvironment". Moreover, Dr. Pederzoli co-chaired the session "Grant Writing Workshop: Tips for Success from experienced scientists", part of the Professional and Career Development Sessions organized during the Annual Meeting. Dr. Loda, as Chair of the AACR Pathology in Cancer Research Working Group, hosted the 2025 Pathology in Cancer Research (PICR) Town Hall on the theme of "How AI Will Impact the Future of Pathology: Now, Soon and in the Future".
In addition to the formal presentations, team members enjoyed the chance to reconnect with colleagues and meet new peers, participating in numerous workshops and social events hosted throughout the conference. These interactions spark new ideas and foster collaborations that extend beyond the conference itself.
See you next year at AACR 2026 in San Diego!
