The Loda Lab attended the “2025 Hormone-Dependent Cancers” Gordon Research Seminar and Conference in the beautiful picture of Sunday River in Maine (09-15 August 2025). It has been an inspiring week filled with insightful discussions, groundbreaking research, and meaningful connections with fellow colleagues working on hormone-dependent malignancies.
Dr. Filippo Pederzoli moderated the session “Mentorship Component: Building Your Translational Research Toolkit Through Essential Skills, Networking and Collaboration” during the Gordon Research Seminar, which provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Moreover, he presented his current work on the steroid hormone regulation of cancer-associated fibroblasts in the prostate cancer tumor microenvironment during the poster sessions of the meeting.
Dr. Loda delivered a talk during the session “Artificial Intelligence: Revolutionizing Translational Research” of the Gordon Research Conference, titled “Molecular Correlates of Prostate Cancer Histopathologic Phenotypes Using AI”, where he presented the latest innovations from the lab to translate AI-assisted Pathology tools into clinical practice.
Lastly, we are pleased to inform that Dr. Filippo Pederzoli has been elected Co-Chair for the 2027 edition of the “Hormone-Dependent Cancers” Gordon Research Seminar! Congratulations!
