The Loda Lab at the 33rd Annual PCF Scientific Retreat

From 1 to 4 October 2026, the Loda Lab travelled to Carlsbad, California, for the 33rd Annual Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) Scientific Retreat and the PCF Young Investigator Forum. The Retreat is one of the leading meetings in prostate cancer research and brings together scientists, clinicians and patient advocates from around the world.

On Saturday, 3 October, Dr. Massimo Loda was a panelist in the discussion “New Endpoints and Implications for Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials.” The panel looked at how new and emerging endpoints could shape the design and interpretation of future clinical trials, and Dr. Loda brought a pathologist’s perspective to the conversation.

During the poster session, Dr. Silvia Rodrigues presented the latest progress on her project, "Breaking the fat chain: FASN inhibition and exogenous PUFAs as a double hit against prostate cancer progression". The session gave her the chance to discuss her results with colleagues across the prostate cancer research community and to gather valuable feedback.

We thank the Prostate Cancer Foundation for organizing such a stimulating meeting and for the many productive conversations it made possible.
