The focus of the Loda Lab is to uncover the pathological determinants of prostate cancer progression by combining cutting-edge in vitro, in vivo and in silico technologies. The Loda Lab is leading the progress in prostate cancer research, focusing on the following key research projects:
- Oncometabolism of prostate cancer, in particular lipid metabolism
- Molecular factors of the tumor microenvironment influencing prostate cancer cell fate
- Molecular and Digital Pathology
- Liquid biopsy in prostate cancer progression
Moreover, thanks to the collaboration with the Department of Medical Oncology at New-York Presbyterian Hospital, the Loda Lab is directly involve in several innovative clinical trials testing the clinical value of lipid metabolism-interfering therapies in the treatment of prostate cancer.
To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science.

The Lab Team
The Loba Lab team comprises a diverse group of postdoctoral researchers, visiting fellows, and research technicians performing basic and translational research in prostate cancer.
Our Research
The focus of the Loda Lab encompasses the oncometabolism of prostate cancer cells, the role of the stromal tumor microenvironment during prostate cancer progression, and the implementation on next-generation pathology techniques to refine diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.
